American Objectivist poet best known for a poetry collection entitled “A.” His other works include Barely & Widely, The Gas Age, and It Was. Louis Zukofsky was born on January 23, 1904, in New York. He greatly admired the work of Ezra Pound. Pound appreciated Zukofsky’s work, as well, and published one of the younger poet’s early poems in the literary journal Exile.
