Kareem Dennis, better known as Lowkey, is a British rapper and activist based in London, England.
In the buildup to his first solo album Dear Listener, he would return in 2008 with wider music coverage, appearing on BBC Radio and performing at various festivals and concerts including the BBC Electric Proms, Glastonbury, T In The Park, and Oxegen, as well as collaborating with other British musicians to form the supergroup Mongrel.
On October 16, 2011, he independently released his second solo album, Soundtrack to the Struggle.
Following a five-year hiatus, Lowkey released a series of singles between 2016 and 2018 in preparation for the release of his third album, Soundtrack to the Struggle 2, on April 5, 2019.
His inclusion on the Best Of The Best: U.K. MC’s 2010 list drew the ire of rival rappers like Chipmunk and Ghetts.
