Known for being the sister of holocaust diarist Anne Frank. According to Anne‘s writings, Margrot also kept a diary of her experiences, but no trace was ever found. She was sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp on October 30th 1944 with her sister. Margrot Frank was born on February 16, 1926 in Frankfurt, Germany. She was first discovered hiding with Fritz Pfeffer on August 4, 1944 after avoiding her concentration camp summons. She attended Ludwig-Richter School in Frankfurt, Germany. With Adolf Hitler‘s rise to power in 1933, she moved to The Netherlands with her family.
