In 1950, Marion Ross married Freeman Herman Meskiman, Jr. 

Their first child, Jim Meskimen, was born, and their second child, Ellen Kreamer, was born later.

After graduating in 1950, Ross worked in summer theater in La Jolla, California. 

The director suggested she look for work in films.

Marion made her film debut in ‘Forever Female’ in 1953, and went on to appear in films such as ‘The Glenn Miller Story’ (1954), ‘Sabrina’ (1954), ‘Lizzie’ (1957), ‘Some Came Running’ (1958), ‘Honky’ (1971), and many more.

She made her television debut in the series Life With Father in 1953 and stayed for two years. 

She appeared on ‘The Lone Ranger’ in 1954, ‘Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer’ in 1955, and ‘The Donna Reed Show’ in 1959.

Marion debuted as a mail-order bride on ‘Rawhide’ and appeared in the CBS sitcom ‘Mrs. G. Goes to College’ from 1961 to 1962. 

Her other works include 1970’s ‘Airport’ and ‘Colossus: The Forbin Project’.

She rose to prominence following the 11-episode run of the ABC sitcom ‘Happy Days’ from 1974 until 1984.

She later performed in the comedy-drama ‘Brooklyn Bridge’ and was on ‘The Love Boat’ between 1978 and 1986.
