Markie Post began her career in the entertainment sector as a contestant on popular game programs before becoming an actress. She began her career as a member of the production team for ABC’s “Split Second,” presented by Tom Kennedy.

In 1976, Markie worked in the editorial department of Mark Goodson’s game program “Family Freud,” and between 1976 and 1977, she worked as an associate producer for the CBS game show “Double Dare.” In 1978, she worked as a card dealer on the NBC game program “Card Sharks.”

In 1978, Markie made her television debut in a small role in “Frankie And Annette: The Second Time Around,” a made-for-television comedy film. Over the next few years, she honed her acting skills by appearing in guest roles on shows like “Buck Rogers In The Twenty-First Century,” “The Incredible Hulk,” and “Semi-Tough,” among others.

She made her film debut as Chris Brennan in the crime drama “Gangster Wars” in 1981, and later that year, she recreated the character in the NBC miniseries “The Gangster Chronicles.”
