Maxwell Fraser, a British musician, rapper, singer-songwriter, and DJ known by his stage name Maxi Jazz, died on December 24, 2024, at the age of 64. Maxi Jazz, the iconic singer and lead singer of the electronic band Faithless, was the band’s lead vocalist from 1995 to 2011 and 2015.

Jazz, who was born in Brixton, also fronted a band called Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys and released music with the group Soul Food Cafe.

Along with Rollo and Sister Bliss, the rapper and musician, real name Maxwell Fraser, was a founding member of the group.

Maxi was a superb lyricist, a DJ, a Buddhist, a fantastic stage presence, a car enthusiast, a never-ending talker, a lovely person, a moral compass, and a genius.

According to the Express website, Faithless singer Maxi Jazz died on Friday, December 23, at the age of 65.

The organization shared the news of his death on Facebook in an emotional post.

Sister Bliss, Maxi’s bandmate, added: “Maxi Jazz 1957 – 2022.”

They are heartbroken to inform you that Maxi passed away peacefully on December 23, 2033.

Crystal Palace’s official account stated that the iconic soul singer was an associate director and that the club was “mourning” the passing of the “legendary musician.”

According to Maxi, the players will walk out to a Faithless song during their Boxing Day encounter as a tribute.
