Maxim Dadashevs was a Saint Petersburg-based Russian professional boxer and Instagram personality. Maxim Dadashevs was well-known for going undefeated in 13 fights.

Furthermore, the boxer set a record in 2018 by winning two notable fights. Maxim first claimed the title after knocking out Darleys Perez (former Lightweight Champion) in the 10th round in June 2018.

In addition, in October 2018, he defeated former lightweight champion “Antonio DeMarco” in a boxing match. Dadashev passed away on July 23, 2019, at the age of 28.

Furthermore, the boxer had an older sibling, a brother. They used to practice boxing together as kids. Dadashev’s sibling, on the other hand, gave up boxing as a career to pursue it as a hobby.

Maxim Dadashevs- Professional Career

Dadashevs began his boxing career as a junior welterweight in 2016.

Before his tragic death, he fought Ricky Sismundo and knocked him out in the fourth round. Before turning professional, the boxer won silver and bronze medals in the Russian championships.

Later, Maxim earned a spot in the next match, which turned out to be the final boxing match of his life.

On July 19, 2019, the boxer faced his opponent, boxer Subriel Matias, in a 140-pound world title elimination fight.

Dadashev’s trainer, “Buddy McGirt,” called a halt to the match after the 11th round, with Matias leading 109-100, 108-101, and 107-102 on the scorecards.

In addition, he insisted Maxim stop fighting in the ninth round because Subriel was dominating the match.

He, however, refused and continued to fight. Buddy took him to the dressing room, but he vomited and collapsed before entering. Egis Klimas (Maxim’s manager) also paid tribute to the young talent on his Instagram account.

The Russian Boxing Federation has also launched an investigation. Umar Kremlev (Secretary General) claimed that Maxim died as a result of a violation

Death Cause, Injuries, and Last Boxing Match

Maxim died as a result of head injuries sustained during an IBF junior welterweight title match against Subriel Matias (Puerto Rican professional boxer).

On July 19, 2019, a boxing match was held at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

He was later admitted to the University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center in Maryland. Dadashev underwent two hours of emergency brain surgery for a subdural hematoma. The doctors also discovered that he was suffering from severe brain bleeding.

Unfortunately, he was unable to make it and died in the hospital. Elizabeth Apushkina, Maxim’s wife, issued an official statement through the hospital announcing his death.
