Michael Beasley: Birth and Education

Michael Beasley was born on January 9, 1989, in the Prince George’s County town of Cheverly, Maryland, USA, as Michael Paul Beasley Jr.

He is a well-known professional basketball player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Michael completed his high school education at Notre Dame Prep in Massachusetts before attending Kansas State for one year of college.

Michael Beasley: Professional Career

Michael Beasley made his NBA debut as a 19-year-old in Miami. As a freshman, he declared for the draft, only for his career to fall apart almost immediately.

Michael was unable to manage his career positively because he was exposed to stardom and money at a young age.

He’s been arrested twice for marijuana possession, and a woman has accused him of sexual assault once.

Michael, on the other hand, is unconcerned about how he is perceived: to NBA fans, he is the NBA journeyman; to players and coaches, he is a troublemaker; and to the media, he is a party animal, a stoner, and the league’s class clown.

Michael’s playing career spans from 2008 to the present, and he has played for at least 11 different teams during that time. His first official contract as a professional basketball player was with the Miami Heat during the NBA Draft.

His career highlights and awards include but are not limited to, CBA Foreign MVP (2016), NBA All-Rookie First Team (2009), consensus first-team All-American (2008), USBWA National Freshman of the Year (2008), and Big 12 Player of the Year (2010).

He also competed for the United States in the 2007 FIBA U19 World Championship, where he won a silver medal, and the 2006 FIBA Americas U18 Championship, where he won a gold medal.

In 2008, Michael was one of four finalists shortlisted for the Naismith Player of the Year Award. He was also named one of the top ten finalists for the Oscar Robertson Player of the Year award.

After years of making headlines for his off-court behavior, Micheal appears to be intent on reining in his excesses and focusing solely on his craft.

Michael Beasley currently lives alone with his two dogs – and spends the majority of his time alone. Rather than entertaining guests, he has reduced his extravagant spending and is most fulfilled when he is with his children.

Michael Beasley: Family

Michael Beasley Sr is his father, and Fatima Smith is his mother. He has two brothers (Leroy Ellison and Malik Smith), as well as two younger sisters (Mychaela Beasley and Tiffany Couch).

He grew up with and Nolan Smith, and while neither is a member of his family, they were close to the family and remain friends with him.

Michael Beasley: Single or Dating?

Michael Beasley has not yet married and thus does not have a wife. And, while he won’t say how many children he has in total (his children live with their mother and visit him at regular intervals), we learned that he has two children with his former girlfriend: a daughter named Mikaiya born in May 2009, and a son named Michael III born in November 2010.

The incredibly talented basketball player prefers to keep his personal life private and has not shared any photos of himself with a possible girlfriend. He is currently unattached.
