David Lee Mabry, 60, was discovered unconscious in his detention cell on Tuesday, June 20, around 12:45 p.m., according to Berrien County sheriff’s officials.

David Lee Mabry was charged with open murder in connection with a fatal shooting on June 18

and charged on Monday. He was also charged with one count of holding a gun while committing a felony.
According to CBS/Fox affiliate WSBT in South Bend, the now-deceased defendant pulled out a revolver and shot and killed his younger stepmother.
