Momofuku Ando was born on March 5, 1910 in Puzi, Taiwan. He and Chun King company founder Jeno Paulucci both developed successful, mass-produced Asian food products. He opened a textiles business in his early twenties and went on to study economics at Ritsumeikan University. His first instant noodles product made its debut in 1958.
