New Kids on the Block Members
New Kids on the Block is a very popular Boston-based American pop group. NKOTB, dubbed “the original boy band,” ushered in an era of massive popularity and served as a model for future boy bands such as NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees.
The lads were surrounded by hysterical female fans and an intense media frenzy from the late 1980s until their split in 1994.
When they reunited in 2007, their fans greeted them with open arms.

Columbia Records released its debut studio album, New Kids on the Block, in 1986.
However, the album, which featured largely bubblegum pop songs, failed to create an impression.
Hangin’ Tough, their second album, was a major changer for the band.
Please Don’t Go, Girl, You Got It (The Right Thing), Cover Girl, Hangin’ Tough, and I’ll Be Loving You were among the album’s hit songs (Forever).
It also topped the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States and was certified 8x platinum by the RIAA.
Step by Step (1990), the band’s fourth studio album, debuted at number one on both the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200.
The album was certified three times platinum and featured hit songs such as Step by Step and Tonight.
