Nick Blood- Professional Career

When you consider that Nick’s first acting part was in a minor role in 2009, it’s clear that he had second thoughts about performing. He allegedly intended to be a musician in his early to mid-20s, and his favorite genre was rock, but he was unable to make an effect on the worldwide music industry.

He was also the manager of a local electro-rock band for a short time. Blood became hell-bent on building a name for himself as an actor after learning that music was not for him. And he did, making his official debut in two episodes of “The Bill” in 2009. With over 2400 episodes, this iconic British cop drama lasted over 25 years.

Working with seasoned performers like Simon Rouse and Graham Cole gave him the confidence to keep going. The next year, he won his first recurring role – as Alex in “Material Girl,” Nick demonstrated his entire range of abilities and went on to appear in “Stanley Park,” “Combat Kids,” and “Misfits.”

While Blood’s performances were excellent, he still lacked a career-defining part that would catapult him to superstardom.

In 2011, he landed the role of Kieran in “Trollied,” a highly acclaimed sitcom about the lives of people who work in an English supermarket.

Despite the fact that Kieran was only a small character at first, everyone admired Nick and his dedication, so they decided to keep him on. Simultaneously, he appeared in two highly popular British series: “Him & Her” and “The Bletchley Circle.”

Critics were perplexed by his variety, as he transitioned from comedies to thrillers with little sign of slowing down. He took a break from the show after two years to spend time with his family.

In 2014, he finally gave his fans what they’d been waiting for: a movie role! Despite his reputation as a small-screen actor, Nick wanted to put his skills on display in “X Moor.” The Beast, a fabled creature mentioned in rural Georgian tradition, is pursued by two documentary filmmakers who set out to capture and film it.

He also tried his hand at voice acting in the same year, playing Hall the Archer in “Dragon Age: Inquisition.” He didn’t have to wait long for another huge role, as he wowed everyone with his performance as Warwick in “Babylon.”

Nick rose to fame on a global scale in 2014. In the enormously popular show “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” he was cast as Lance Hunter. His character contributed to battles against some of the most dangerous villains in the Marvel Universe as a member of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.).

Lance was a popular favorite, despite the fact that he wasn’t the main character. Nick demonstrated his talent to the rest of the world in between plots, time travel, and other shenanigans. And, boy, did that make an impression! He decided to focus on movies after leaving the show, making roles in “Say My Name” and “Still.”

Nick Blood has multiple projects scheduled for release in 2020 as of late 2019, indicating that he will have another successful year. He was even reported to have a role in future Spiderman films, but that conjecture was put to rest due to a legal disagreement between Sony and Disney.
