Paul Virzi is a stand-up comedian from the United States. Paul Virzi’s comedy album Night At The Stand debuted at number one on iTunes and peaked at number four on the Billboard Top 100.

Paul has appeared on Comedy Knockout on TruTV, Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV, and Good Morning Football on The NFL Network, and has written for the ESPN ESPY Awards.

He has performed at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal as well as the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX.

Paul has a brother, with whom he was raised by their mother. His parents divorced, and his mother relocated them several times in Westchester and Dutchess counties during his childhood.

When Eddie Murphy Raw was released in theaters in 1987, Paul’s father took him and his brother to see it against the wishes of his mother and grandmother.

He was in community college when he learned about a Tuesday night open mic at Joyous Lake in Woodstock, New York.

The Lake, as it was affectionately known, had been one of the hottest music venues in the 1970s, but by the late 1990s, when Paul arrived, much of the luster had worn off.

He dropped out of college and moved to New York City. Paul began performing “bringer” shows with other aspiring comics.
