He returned to WWE television in June 2000. He later worked with professional wrestlers such as Kurt Angle, Triple H, Chris Jericho, John Cena, and Edge. 

Then, in 2010, he announced his retirement by wrestling his farewell match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI.
