Who is Rich Chigga?

Brian Imanuel is an Indonesian rapper, songwriter, and record producer who rose to prominence as Rich Chigga but is now professionally known as Rich Brian. Rich Chigga rose to prominence after his debut single “Dat $tick” went viral in early 2016. The track was rated gold, and two years later he released his debut album, “Amen.”

What is the net worth of Rich Chigga?

Rich Chigga has an estimated net worth of $350,000, and with his albums receiving positive reviews and more to come from him, this figure is unlikely to remain static for long.

He is currently a non-permanent resident of Los Angeles, California.

Even better, he wants to expand his music beyond the huge global fan base he currently has.

Rich has only been in one relationship before moving to Los Angeles, California.

He was said to be in a long-distance relationship with a young Maryland girl.

He mentioned her on several occasions but never revealed how they met in August 2015.

They are said to have met online, which seems plausible given the long distance between his previous residence in Jakarta and his new home in Los Angeles.

Given that he rarely speaks about her these days, it is safe to assume that they are no longer together.

For the time being, no other girl has been seen or shown publicly as his girlfriend.

Rich Chigga: Birth, Parents, Siblings & Education

Rich Brian was born Brian Imanuel in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 21, 1999.

He is of Chinese-Indonesian ancestry and grew up in West Jakarta, a middle-to-low-income neighborhood in Indonesia’s capital city, with his three siblings.

His parents’ identities are unknown, but his father is said to be a lawyer.

Sonia Eryka, a fashion influencer, and Roy Leonard, a DJ, are two of his well-known siblings.

Rich was homeschooled during his childhood.

Growing up, he began his entertainment career on social media by photoshopping images and tweeting them.

Rich Chigga: Professional Career

He gained a large number of followers for this, most notably when he posted a photoshopped image of himself and former US President. This was around the time he was 11 years old.

He eventually moved on to the Vine video platform, where he posted short videos and dark comedy skits, further increasing his popularity.

The young lad soon discovered YouTube, which not only provided him with a large audience but also taught him how to speak and rap in vernacular English of American suburbs.

Previously, the skinny homeschooled boy could only communicate in Bhasa, a local Indonesian language, and all of his previous videos and comedy skits were in Bhasa.

He admitted that when speaking English, he can say things that he couldn’t say when speaking Bhasa.

Chigga learned to rap by listening to rappers such as 2 Chainz, Macklemore, Childish Gambino, Tyler the Creator, and others.

In 2014, he wrote his first official song, and by February 2016, he had released his hit song “Dat $tick,” which gave him widespread popularity and acceptance in the world of celebrity rappers.

The video for the song was made quickly and only featured him and a few others.

There was little video effect visible in the song, which may have endeared him to a large number of fans all over the world.

He has since gone on to do other songs and collaborate with other artists such as Keith Ape and 21 Savage, as well as receive recognition and awards such as the Indonesian Choice Awards as Breakthrough Artist of the Year in May 2017.

In the coming years, we can expect to see more of him, as well as more accolades.
