Despite the fact that Destiny and Powers keep their relationship covert, they have appeared together on multiple occasions.
What brought Ryan Destiny and Keith Powers together?
Ryan Destiny met her then-future-bae Keith during a Teen Vogue party in 2015.
They bumped into each other a few more times at parties and gatherings before falling in love.
Their romance bloomed on social media, with each other responding to
each other’s stories, just like any other twenty-first-century romance.
On their first date, Ryan and Keith fell in love.
In an interview, Ryan was asked when she realized she was in love with Powers.
“When I first met him,” she reminisced.
She revealed that she had liked him since the first time they met.
When her beau was asked the same question, he answered that life would be incomplete without her.
He went on,
“Falling in love with someone is a fairly natural sensation.”
You can’t just wake up one day and say, “I love this person, I feel it.”
Both Ryan and Keith believe that falling in love has made them appreciate how much they love themselves.
Destiny and Powers kept their romance a secret
Destiny confessed to Teen Vogue in early 2020 how they maintained their romance out of the public eye.
Destiny revealed in the interview that they had been clever in their
approach to publicizing their romance on social media. According to Ryan,
“We are unquestionably more strategic than people assume.
When we first started dating, we were in the private period,
but we still wanted to show that we were together.”She went on to say:
“Over time, we’ve moved away from [posting about each other] because we’ve seen that the more you put out, the more people feel like they can be in your business.”
Meanwhile, Destiny talked on how to determine what to share and what not to share.
Ryan also admitted that she and her partner Powers have decided how much
of their relationship to publicize on social media while keeping in mind how invasive the public may be.
