Sean Faris- Professional Career
Sean began acting at the age of 12 and received the ‘Junior Male Model of the Year’ award at the International Model and Talent Association in 1999.
He moved to Los Angeles after finishing his education to pursue his acting career. He debuted with a modest role in Ben Affleck’s ‘Pearl Harbor,’ but took a 6-7-month hiatus following that.
He only had minor roles in films like ‘Twisted’ and ‘The Brotherhood II: Young Warlocks’ at the beginning of his career. He finally secured a lead role in Dino Whitman’s teen drama ‘Life as We Know It’ after years of waiting.
Sean gained notoriety in 2005 with the re-make film ‘Yours, Mine, and Ours,’ directed by Raja Gosnell, although he took an extended pause after the film’s release. With his back-to-back blockbusters ‘Forever Strong,’ ‘Never Back Down,’ and ‘Brooklyn to Manhattan,’ he had a fantastic comeback in 2008.
Never Back Down also earned Farris an ‘MTV Movie Award’ for ‘Best Fight.’ Sean made his directorial debut in the short film ‘Manifest Destiny,’ in which he also starred.
