Seung-woo-Professional Career

He grew up in a musical family.

He had aspirations of becoming a musical actor since he was a child.

While studying at Dankook University, he was persuaded to audition for the Cannes Film Festival-screened film Chunhyang, and he ended up landing the part from a field of over a thousand performers.

Cho has confessed that he saw all of the Seoul Arts Group’s works when he was in high school.

He went on to say that his school used to take care of the students so that they could attend many performances.

He claimed that after seeing a school version of Don Quixote, he felt motivated to become a musical actor, and the musical Man of La Mancha became his goal.

However, when the opportunity arose when he was 26 years old, he became frightened, worried that he would ruin the work he loved the most, and first turned it down.

Cho has revealed that Hedwig is one of the musicals he has most enjoyed being a part of.

He considered it to be one-of-a-kind and astonished at how it began in a little drag queen club in New York.

Because the style is more akin to a monodrama, the actors have a lot of freedom, and he enjoyed how the musicians in the concert engage with the audience and speak about themselves.

He noted that he had a lot of fun changing all of the lines from the initial performance into simply spoken syllables.
