Because he was born into a tennis household, it was only natural for him to begin tennis instruction at a young age. His mother, Julia Apostoli, was a professional tennis player, while his father was a tennis instructor.
His parents, in fact, were the ones who first introduced him to tennis when he was three years old. He began tennis coaching at Glyfada Tennis Club near Athens when he was six years old.
He began tennis tutoring at the age of eight with Giorgos Spiliopoulos, an individual coach.
It was a huge help to his career because he was able to improve his complete game by working with a personal coach. This proved to be crucial as he instilled in his students the value of discipline, work ethic, and proper court technique.
He then transferred to Giorgos Fountoukos, his tennis instructor back home until today, when he was eight years old. He fully shifted his career in the right direction because he was quite experienced and had a lot of judicial knowledge.

Tsitsipas began his professional career at the age of 15, making it all the way to the Orange Bowl final. Despite losing to Stefan Kozlov, he made an impression on the audience, and the next year, he continued his stellar career.
In 2015, he reached the Orange Bowl final for the second time, but lost against Miomir Kecmanovic. After that, he returned to his hometown to work on his game and enrolled at France’s Mouratoglou Tennis Academy.
