According to reports, Eubanks began fighting with her boyfriend after drinking all day with him and taking Valium. When she returned home, she slashed two tires on his car and refused to let him in.

He called the cops, who escorted him to the house, where he removed some belongings and fled. This, according to her defense team, was the catalyst for the killings.

They claimed she lost control of her mind and body at that point.

When cops and the rescue team arrived at the scene, they discovered that all of the children had been shot with a gun and died as a result of their injuries. Because a four-year-old boy was still alive, they rushed him to the hospital, where he died later.

Susan was also found sobbing and suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She, too, was taken to the hospital. Eubanks was charged with four first-degree murders five days later.

In August of the same year, the panel found her guilty on all four counts of first-degree murder after only two hours of deliberation.

Two days later, they responded with a death sentence. In October of 1999, the judge approved the sentence, and she was transferred to the Central California Women’s Facility.

Susan is currently being held at the Central California Women’s Facility, which serves as California’s death row for women.
