The grandson of Savoy Records founder Herman Lubinsky, Sr., this Pittsburgh-based radio and television producer and music enthusiast is perhaps best known for his ‘Doo-Wop ’50’ program on PBS. He also helped produce public television’s The Very Best Of The Ed Sullivan Show. TJ Lubinsky was born on March 24, 1972 in New Jersey. In the early 2000s, he broadcast several episodes of Doctor Who (starring Tom Baker) that had never been seen on American television. He began his career at Monmouth, New Jersey’s Cable TV-34 station. He went on to work for PBS stations in both Florida and Pennsylvania.
