Tyrese had a successful high school basketball career, playing for the University of Kentucky’s team. He set a record of 22.5 average points and 3.1 assists in his junior year, leading his club to a 36-4 record. Then, in his senior year, he averaged 22.2 points per game with 3.6 assists, leading the squad to yet another record.
