Who is Wayne Allyn Root?

Wayne Allyn Root is a conservative author, radio broadcaster, and conspiracy theorist from the United States (born on 20 July 1961). He is the host of the Wayne Allyn Root Show on the US Radio Network and Newsmax TV, as well as a columnist for the Las Vegas Journal.

Root ran for the Libertarian Party’s vice-presidential nomination in the 2008 presidential election. In 2012, he rejoined the Republican Party after leaving the Libertarian Party.

Wayne Allyn Root was born in Mount Vernon, New York, in 1961. Root attended the Thornton-Donovan School in New Rochelle, New York, and Columbia University’s pre-law and political science programs in 1983.

In June 2016, Root characterized himself as a “Jew who converted to evangelical Christianity.” Since November 2016, Root has identified as Jewish, and he views Donald Trump to be the first Jewish president, in the same manner, that Bill Clinton was dubbed the first black president.

Wayne Allyn Root- Professional Career

Root worked for WNBC radio in the early 1980s (now WFAN). He worked for the Financial News Network from 1989 to 1991, before being acquired by CNBC.

Root was the founder and chairman of Winning Edge International Inc. He hosted Wayne Allyn Root’s Winning Edge, a TV show in the 2000s that promoted Root’s sports enterprise. Root hosted King of Vegas on Spike TV and created Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel.

Root was a member of the Management Board of Wealth Masters International (“WMI”), a now-defunct global financial services and education corporation based in Houston, Texas. The Norwegian authorities halted WMI sales in 2010 after discovering an illegal pyramid business. Root was named in the discovery.

Root was a long-time Republican Party member and supporter who identified as a Libertarian Republican.

In 1983, he was elected to the Westchester County Board of Legislators. Root left the Republican Party in 2007 and became a member of the Libertarian Party. The Consciousness of a Libertarian, Root’s book, was published in 2009.
