Who is Wes Welker?

Wes Welker, the legendary wide receiver, was no stranger to adversity. Several college football programs gave him the cold shoulder. Wes Welker was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. During his debut season in 2004, the San Diego Chargers unceremoniously terminated him.

Eleven years later, in his 12-year NFL career, he had 9,924 receiving yards and 50 touchdowns. By the time Welker took his final NFL snap, he had set fourteen NFL records, led the league in receptions three times, and been named to five Pro Bowls.

Clearly, “The Natural,” the wide receiver, exploited hardship to catapult himself to new heights.

His final game with the Rams came at the end of his NFL career.

He didn’t play in a game until January 30, 2017, when he got his first coaching job with the Houston Texans, who hired him as an offensive and special teams assistant coach.

Wes Welker’s net worth was estimated to be around $20 million at the end of his career.

The sum is certain to rise as a result of his new job.
