Given the MCU’s track record, the second Doctor Strange film will almost certainly gross a significant sum and Cumberbatch will profit handsomely.
Cumberbatch has reportedly received approximately $6 million for his work on Doctor Strange in 2016, Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, and the previous two Avengers flicks.
While the sum is not as large as what Robert Downey Jr. received for his contributions to Marvel flicks, it is nevertheless motivating, especially given Doctor Strange’s growing relevance in the MCU.
