While speculations circulate that the Miami Heat are interested in signing the Oakland native, the point guard has stated his desire to remain with the Portland Trail Blazers.
During a Monday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” NBA insider Shams Charania mentioned Portland as the team holding the cards for the great basketballer’s probable exit.
Lillard will return to Rose City for the following season if the team improves between now and the NBA draft on Thursday (22 June), according to Charania.
According to the NBA insider, everything is up to Portland.
But Damian truly wants to be there, Charania added.
Furthermore, Lillard stated on the podcast The Last Stand, “I think I have made it clear what my wishes are.”
The talented athlete stated that he desired the opportunity to win in Portland.
“The most important thing is that. But, if we can’t do that, we’ll have to have a different talk, as I’ve been saying for months,” the basketball player added.
