Who Are the Parents of Baby Deorr?

Baby Deorr

The infamous kid missing cold case has caught Baby Deorr Parents’ attention after he inexplicably disappeared during a camping trip, making them prime suspects.

DeOrr Kunz Jr., 2, went missing on July 10, 2015,

at about 2.40 p.m. while camping in Lemhi County, Idaho.

The baby was with his parents, Jessica Mitchell and DeOrr Kunz Sr.,

The victim’s parents believed DeOrr Jr. was being watched by his grandfather, Robert Walton, at the Timber Creek Campground.

Meanwhile, Robert and his parents, and Isaac discussed the victim.

DeOrr has not been seen or heard from in more than five years, and no one has been prosecuted for his disappearance.

Former Lemhi County Sheriff Lynn Bowerman suspected his parents, Mitchell and Kunz Sr.,

in January 2016, but they were never arrested or charged, and the case is still unresolved.

Jessica Mitchell and Vernal DeOrr Kunz are the parents of Baby Deorr.

Deorr Kunz Jr., two years old, was with his parents, Jessica Mitchell and Vernal DeOrr Kunz Senior,

when they went missing while visiting Timber Creek Campground, 10 miles from Leadore (east of Challis), Idaho.

Separate 911 calls from the parents, police interviews, and other evidence spurred an inquiry that produced more questions than answers.

Jessica Mitchell and Vernal Kunz ended their engagement shortly after their kid went missing, remarried, and relocated out of state.

Sheriff Lynn Bowerman of Lemhi County said his parents were strolling

down a creek near the campsite to fish with Reinwand. DeOrr Jr. followed the three people.

Authorities sent in advanced teams and K9 dogs when his parents reported him missing,

and searchers focused for the Timber Creek and Stone Reservoir near the campsite where he was sighted.

In addition, three private detectives have investigated the case, but no concrete proof on DeOrr’s location has been revealed.

admitted to the police that they had no idea where the boy was.

In November 2019, HLN’s Real Life Nightmare series reopened the case and

Update on the Baby Deorr Case: Did They Find Any Leads?

Apart from ongoing litigation between the family and a private investigator, the situation has been largely quiet in recent months.

After months of testing at the FBI’s Quantico, Virginia, office, investigators reported that a bone

discovered at the campsite in June 2019 was from an animal and had nothing to do with the missing youngster.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children published this age-progressed photo of DeOrr Kunz Jr. in 2017.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shared a snapshot of DeOrr Kunz Jr. as he grew older.

According to Lemhi County Sheriff Steve Penner, the Baby Deorr Missing case is still open and active at the time of writing this post.

Former sheriff Lynn Bowerman retired after winning the 2017 election,

and Steve Penner is now in charge of the case as not just the primary investigator.

Inconsistencies in claims were made public in January 2016, and officials said his parents had failed repeated

polygraph tests, making Mitchell and DeOrr Sr. prominent suspects in this case.
