After finishing high school, she attended the University of Bridgeport and earned a degree in fashion merchandising before working as a manager at Lerner’s Department Store.
She also spent years helping her adored brother Al run his catering business.
Nothing made her happier than a Sunday dinner with her family and going to church.
Her food brought her a lot of attention. Her parents, who were immigrants to this nation, raised her in a home that valued family and religion.
She was an enthusiastic member of the St. Nicholas Ladies Auxiliary, and one of her principal responsibilities was to laboriously prepare meals for various church celebrations.
She was well-known for her recipes and was always happy to share them with anyone who called or came to her house.
Her four children are among her surviving relatives.
