David Schutter’s parents and siblings are unknown, however, he is the grandson of Freidrich Schutter, a director, actor, and theater director. David was interested in performing from an early age, therefore he enrolled in the School for Drama Hamburg in 2009 and graduated in 2012. He enjoys swimming, reading novels, and working out at the gym.

David Schutter’s Professional Career

While other kids his age were busy playing games and having no idea what they wanted to do with their lives, David had already begun his acting career when he was only 10 years old, when he participated in school drama and plays and began to train in theaters.

Before graduating from the School for Drama Hamburg in 2012, he was seen in the series Die Pfefferkörner in 2008, followed by another appearance in 2011.

In 2010, he appeared in the film Da comes Kalle, and in 2011, he appeared in the television series Stubbe – From Case to Cae. He had a minor part in the television series Coast Guard shortly after graduation.

Tatort: Bounty, Coast Guard, SOKO Cologne, television film Marie Brand and the Girl in the Ring, Josephine Klick – Alone Among Cops and Terra X: Alexander the Great, his lead role, Damon in Porn Punk Poetry, and his feature debut with Spieltrieb, where he played Gruttel.

We Are Young is his television film. We Are Strong, in which he played Kunde, was also a hit. Then he went on to play Reimers in Da Muli and the television series Last Trace Berlin, and in 2015 he was cast in the TV mini-series Weinberg as Ulf.

In 2017, he played Matthias Keil, one of the main characters in 4 Blocks. His other significant performances include his roles in the 2016 film Strawberry Bubblegums and the 2018 film Never Look Away.
