Elena Branson is the Chairman of the Russian Community Council of the United States. She currently resides in New York, New York, and works as a financial analyst, managing director, international research fellow, financial strategist, and advisor in the private sector (according to her LinkedIn profile).

Elena Branson also has volunteer experience with the Russian Community Council of the United States, where she has been serving since June 2018. She was also the president of the Russian Center in New York.

She was nominated to lead the Russian Community Council of the United States (formerly known as the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots), but the group was shut down in 2021 after FBI investigations.

She formerly worked as a government agent, facilitating meetings between political people in the United States and Russian officials. Branson, on the other hand, testified to the Justice Department that she was never approached by Russian officials in 2020 with the purpose of conducting meetings with US executives.

She has worked in several positions since the 1990s, according to her LinkedIn page.

Elena Branson- Arrest

Elena is accused of assisting in the organization of the “I Love Russia” campaign, as well as acting unlawfully as a Russian Government agent and conducting business in the United States for nearly a decade.

Elena, a dual US-Russian citizen, was charged on March 8, 2022, with acting as a foreign government agent without giving the US government sufficient notice.

Despite this, she has been charged with VISA fraud, lying to the FBI, and failing to register as a foreign agent as required by the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The group discontinued activities in 2021 as a result of the FBI probe.
