Jack Eichel began his professional career in 2012 when he joined the USHL League as a member of the US National Development Team. He played 24 games for the USHL the following year.
He signed a letter of intent to commit to Boston University of the Hockey East on April 29, 2014. He scored 26 goals, 45 assists, and 71 points in 40 games with Boston. He was drafted second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He collected 56 points, 24 goals, and 32 assists in 81 games in 2015.
He played for the Buffalo Sabres from 2016 to 2021, against clubs such as the Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Vancouver Canucks, and others. He appeared in 294 games throughout this time, scoring 115 goals, 184 assists, and 299 points.
He was dealt with the Vegas Golden Knights on November 4, 2021, in exchange for Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, and a first- and a second-round draft pick. He recently got his first goal in a game against the San Jose Sharks in 2022. They even went on to win the game 4-1.
