Angie was hired to launch Columbus Neighbors, a call-in service and publication featuring reviews of local home and lawn services in Columbus, Ohio.

Angie was going from house to house trying to convince co to sign up for the new service when she first started this business. She survived having doors slammed in her face during this time.

Angie, on the other hand, was able to recruit 1000 members in a year. As a result, in 1996, Columbus Neighbors was renamed Angie’s List.

Furthermore, Angie’s List purchased the same company in Indianapolis, Unified Neighbors. In addition, Angie relocated its headquarters from Ohio to Indianapolis in 1999.
