He maintained his game in 2019 and 2020, but he was unable to play due to a cancellation after Covid19. In 2021, he was a member of the Triple-A West Sacramento River Cats and was promoted to the major leagues.
He made his MLB debut against the Miami Marlins, becoming the second pitcher to throw a pitch faster than 102kmph. During the same season, he was named National League Reliever of the Month. He pitched in 27 games and struck out 12.3 batters in 2021.
In the National League Division Series, he pitched a scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The following year, he became the first rookie to record a two-inning save.
