She also had a one-on-one interview with Barrack Obama, the 44th President of the United States. Colleen previously worked as a reporter/anchor for WTRF-TV in Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was born in Dunbar, Appalachia, in the United States. Collen is the daughter of Jack, an electrician who worked in a glass factory, and Betty Jean Connors, a homemaker.

She grew up in a family of four, including her siblings Maureen and John. Furthermore, her parents were depressed children who wanted their children to have opportunities that they never had.

Colleen’s father was injured in an industrial accident when he was 47 years old, leaving him disabled. In addition, her mother had Alzheimer’s for ten years.

Connellsville Area High School awarded her a high school diploma. Colleen also attended Point Park University and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

At the age of 44, she graduated from the Capital University School of Law in Columbus in 2004.

She received a Trustee Scholarship and was a member of the National Moot Court Team and Law Review while attending law school.

She was diagnosed with stage-four kidney nephrosis following her valiant attempt to donate her kidney to her dialysis-dependent cousin.

Colleen was then scheduled to have robotic surgery in 2019 at Ohio Health Dublin Methodist Hospital. Ronney Abaza, MD, a robotic urologic surgeon, performed the surgery using a single-port robot.

Colleen benefited from the robotic surgery by having less pain, a shorter hospital stay, and less muscle damage.
