He studied political economy at Princeton University before enrolling in the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, according to his Facebook page.

He also attended Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business.

In 2009, he ran against Mayor Luke Ravenstahl for mayor of Pittsburgh.
