Ernie Lively was an American actor and acting coach. He was known for his legendary 5-decade film and TV career. Over the course of his long career, he had amassed over 100 credits. He was best known for his roles in Mulholland Falls, The Beverly Hillbillies, Passenger 57, The Man in the Moon, and Shocker, among others.

In The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants franchise, Ernie Lively also played the father of his real-life daughter, Blake Lively.

On January 29, 1947, he was born. Ernest Wilson Brown Jr. was his birth name, which he later changed to Ernie Lively. He was Beatrice Gray’s and Ernest Brown Srson. Lively was born in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. It’s upsetting that he’s no longer with us. He left us on June 3rd, 2021.

He obtained it as a result of his acting career. As an actor, he also had a royalty channel through which he received good money.

Lively began his career as a guest star on popular shows like The Waltons and Fantasy Island.

Later in his career, he appeared in a number of television series, including McCloud, Private Benjamin, CBS Schoolbreak Special, The Dukes of Hazzard, Fame, Misfits of Science, Remington Steele, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Warm Hearts Cold Feet, Hill Street Blues, and many others. His first television appearance was in The Million Dollar Dixie Deliverance, where he played Danny.

In 1980, he appeared in the film Drop-Out Father. He made an appearance in The Children of Timesquare in 1986. After 1987, he flourished, landing a slew of roles thanks to his outstanding performance.

He went on to appear in the TV shows Newhart and Midnight Caller. He had a successful year in 1990, appearing in a number of films.

His 1990 films included Hard To Kill, Follow Your Heart, The Knife And Gun Club, Air America, and Quantum Leap. His 91′ films were Breaking The Silence, Past Midnight, and The Man in the Moon.

He also appeared in Showdown in Little Tokyo and Till I Kissed Ya. One of his major roles was as Chief Biggs in Passenger 57 in 1992.

He also appeared in the television series ‘Sisters’ and ‘Civil Wars’ the same year. He played Briggs in the Beverly Hillbillies in 1993. His subsequent major television series included The Commish, The X Files, Seinfeld, ‘Murder, She Wrote,’ Malibu Shores, Renegade, and Diagnosis Murder.

Widespread Recognition

In 1996, he played Dr. Smith in The Last Best Place. In 1997, he played Todd in Fire Down Below, and in 1998, he appeared in Senseless, The Legend Of Cryin Ryan, Goodbye Lover, and Wanted. Following that, in the twenty-first century, his works included American Pie 2 and Crossing Jordan, a television series. In Drew Carey’s show, he played Mike.

He also appeared in the television series The West Wing. He portrayed Bridget’s father in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005. In 2006, he starred as Ranger Neher in the television series Ghost Whisperer.

In 2008, he played Mr. Layne in the film The Art of Travel, and he played Coach Sam Hicks in the film The Perfect Game. He was still acting in 2010. He appeared in the television shows Outlaw and Svetlana. In 2015, he portrayed Wright Adams in Waffle Street.

His most recent role was as Jack Sanders in Phobic. Lively, in addition to being an actor, was also an acting coach. He coached young actors in Hollywood such as Brittany Murphy, Casper Van Dien, and Jason Priestly.

The Cause of Death

His health has deteriorated over the last few years. He suffered a heart attack in 2003 and later underwent stem-cell therapy treatment as part of an experiment in 2013.

He died of cardiac complications on June 3, 2021, in Los Angeles, at the age of 74, but the official statement was released on June 9, 2021. It was obvious that he was having health issues, but the news that he is no longer with us is heartbreaking for his fans and family members. We’ll keep him in our thoughts.
