Fajr Vallejos had just returned home from picking up her children from her parent’s house when she was the victim of a drive-by gunshot. Fajr Vallejos Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on December 2, 2022, in the Southeast 1700 block of W Street.

Around 8:20 a.m., members of the Seventh District arrived at the specified location for the gunfire complaint.

When the crew arrived, they discovered an adult female victim inside a car with what seemed to be a gunshot wound.

What Happened To Fajr Vallejos Who Was Shot To Death?

Fajr Vallejos, 30, was located in a car in the 1700 block of W Street S.E. around 8:20 p.m., according to police.

Her family stated she only lived a few blocks away.

According to a law enforcement source, the hunt for the shooter is still on after Fajr was discovered shot to death in a car with her unhurt children on Friday night in Anacostia.

Vallejos’ daughters, ages 8 and 5, were in the backseat and witnessed her murder, according to family members.

Children from Fajr Vallejos were present.

Her Murder Family members said that the Vallejos children, aged eight and five, were in the car when their parents were slaughtered.

According to Fajr’s husband, Jose Issac Vallejos, the fact that their children were with her aggravated matters.

He revealed that their youngster claimed he saw fireworks and subsequently witnessed his mother’s death.

Vallejos had just picked up her children from her parent’s house and was on her way home when she was the victim of a drive-by shooting, according to family members.

She was shot, and she was involved in a car accident.

Alya Ahmed, the victim’s close friend, reported that the only consolation was that her children were unharmed.

Ahmed described Vallejos as kind, loving, giving, industrious, and contagious with a smile.

Following the shooting, a black car with tinted windows drove away from the scene.

Suspect in the Murder of Fajr Vallejos

Police launched a homicide investigation after a woman was reported deceased following a shooting in Southeast D.C. on Friday night.

Around 8:15 p.m., investigators were dispatched to the 1700 block of W Street Southeast in response to a complaint of a shooting.

Officers arrived on the scene to find Vallejos unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to a neighboring hospital.

According to the police, there is presently no suspect lookout, and no one has been brought into custody.

The incident is currently being investigated.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.

As the inquiry progresses, her heartbroken family members have a message for the public.

Ahmed has appealed that anyone with knowledge come forward and report it to the police.

He also asks her to share anonymously or in any other way possible because she cannot find peace before she is buried.
