From 1991 to 1993, he was also the Minister of the Aegean.

He served as Foreign Minister from April 14, 1992, to August 7, 1992.

Aside from that, Kyriaskos’ mother, Marika, was a prominent political figure in the New Democracy political party.

Marika also served as Prime Minister’s Spouse from 1990 to 1993, during her husband’s tenure as Prime Minister.

Marika died on May 6, 2012, in the Evgenidion Hospital in Athens.

On the other hand, the Mitsotakis family experienced yet another tragedy when Konstantinos died on May 29, 2017, at the age of 98.

Four days of national mourning were declared following his death.

Dora is a well-known politician linked with the New Democracy party who served as Greece’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2006 until 2009.

She served as Mayor of Athens from January 1, 2003, to February 14, 2006.

Similarly, she served as Minister of Culture. Alexandra, Kyriakos’ other sister, is an activist and social entrepreneur.

Alexandra was appointed head of the Greek Cultural Centre in Paris in 2009.

In the meantime, she is married to a French lawyer and has four children and nine grandchildren.
