Cahill was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the Beaufort region on Sunday, according to reports.

Cahill was the sole occupant of one of the automobiles when the accident occurred around 1:10 p.m.

His body was taken from the scene of the collision to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry, where a post-mortem examination is claimed to have taken place.

The driver of the second vehicle, a guy in his late teens, was rushed to the same hospital and remained in severe condition on Sunday evening.

A female passenger in her late teens was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Furthermore, the road where the accident occurred remained closed on Sunday evening to allow Garda forensic crash experts to conduct an investigation.
