Keshia Knight Pulliam was born on April 9, 1979, in Newark, New Jersey. Keshia Knight-Pulliam is best known for her portrayal as Rudy Huxtable, Dr. Cliff Huxtable’s lively, pint-sized youngest daughter, on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992.
She appeared in 177 episodes of the wildly popular sitcom. She also appeared in 56 episodes of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne from 2007 to 2012.
Prior to Cosby, she had been in countless national commercials, was a regular on Sesame Street, and had starred in the feature picture The Last Dragon (1985).
Keshia Knight Pulliam’s Career
She began her career at the age of nine months in a national print advertisement for Johnson’s & Johnson’s infant goods. Her portrayal in The Great Gatsby put her in the record books at the time as the youngest actor nominated for an Emmy.
Following her time on The Cosby Show, she went on to star on other reality series and in independent films such as the comedy Beauty Shop (2005) and Tyler Perry’s dramedy Madea Goes to Jail (2009).
She was most recently a contestant on the ABC celebrity diving show Splash (2013), where she was sadly the first to be eliminated, and on the hit NBC reality series Celebrity Apprentice (2015), where she co-hosted with Donald Trump.
