Mark Trumbo, an American professional baseball first baseman and outfielder for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball, has distinguished himself as a player with that distinct skill that one cannot help but notice.

Mark Trumbo was born in Anaheim, California on January 16, 1986, and began playing baseball in high school in Villa Park, California.

He was a pitcher and infielder at Villa Park, and for his dexterity in the game, he was named the 2005 High School All-American, hitting.425 and pitching an impressive 10-2 with a 2.20 ERA.

His professional career, on the other hand, began with the Los Angeles Angels, who selected him in the 18th round (533rd overall) of the 2004 MLB Draft.

Trumbo made his major league debut on September 11, 2010, as a pinch hitter for Mike Napoli, another American professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter (DH) who played for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 2006 to 2010.

After hitting his first career home run on April 12, 2011, he was named to his first All-Star team in 2012. In the same year, he had six RBIs on two three-run home runs against the Colorado Rockies of Denver.

His obvious prowess prompted AL captain Robinson Cano to name him the 2012 Home Run Derby. Trumbo remained with the Angels for the entire 2013 season, batting.234/.294/.453 in 620 at-bats.

Mark Trumbo played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, also known as the D-backs, in 2014. The Phoenix-based professional baseball team acquired him from the Angels in a three-team trade, and he was able to hit his 100th career home run against the Rockies while playing for them.

Despite a stress fracture in his left foot that caused him to be placed on the 15-day disabled list, Trumbo finished the season with a.235/.293/.415 batting line in 328 at-bats.

On June 3, 2015, he was traded for Wellington Castillo, Dominic Leone, and Gabby Guerrero of the Seattle Mariners, along with Mexican-American professional baseball pitcher Vidal Nuo.

He was traded by the Mariners to the Baltimore Orioles in December 2015 in exchange for Steve Clevenger.

Trumbo has made a name for himself with the Baltimore Orioles, winning awards such as the AL Sporting News Comeback Player of the Year and the Silver Slugger Award.

Trumbo not only hit his 200th career home run off of, but he also finished the 2017 season with a.234/.289/.397 slash line in 559 at-bats. He did, however, begin the 2018 season on the disabled list before being activated on May 1st.
