He began his comedy career in 1991 after appearing in a talent show at his church in Valparaiso, Indiana. This led to him performing at churches across the country, followed by comedy clubs, colleges, and corporate events.

He began working as an actor at the Valparaiso community theater in the early 1990s. He relocated his family to Hollywood, California, in the early 2000s, where he studied with Kevin Spacey’s acting coach, John Swanbeck.

In 2003, he signed with Beverly Hills, CA agent William Kerwin and began receiving television commercial and film roles. He returned to Kansas City, Missouri, with his family in 2008.

He founded his own film company, Esther Pictures, in 2013.
