He was a recipient of both the Governor General’s Award and the Canadian Poets Award. Milton Acorn was born on March 30, 1923 in Canada. He was born in the same year as Kenneth Mills, a Canadian musician and writer. He published his debut poetic work, In Love and Anger, in 1956.
