Nate Bargatze is a comedian, actor, writer, and producer from the United States. Nate Bargatze inherited a pool of comedy genes from his father, an internationally acclaimed comedian-turned-magician. In addition to his natural talents, which he displayed at a young age, the all-around entertainer has worked his way up the ranks to become a well-known name in the US comedy scene and beyond.

Nate Bargatze was born on March 25, 1979, in Old Hickory, Nashville, Tennessee, into a Southern Baptist Christian family.

After graduation, he worked at the now-defunct Opryland Theme Park in Nashville’s suburbs.

He later worked as a water meter reader in Mt. Juliet, a Nashville suburb.

There, he met Michael Clay, a colleague and aspiring comedian who became his business partner.

Professional Career

In 2002, they moved to Chicago and enrolled in the illustrious Second City improvisational theater troupe.

Nate Bargatze left the improv comedy school and opted to take a comedy class, while his friend Clay continued and eventually graduated.

While in Chicago, he also began his showbiz career as a stand-up comedian.

Bargatze later relocated to New York, where he pursued a full-time career in comedy.

He honed and perfected his craft over the years by performing at various comedy clubs.

He has also won some of the most prestigious comedy festivals in the United States, including the New York Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival, both of which he won in 2010.

In addition, he received a lot of praise from the Montreal Comedy Festival.

In 2012, while performing at a New York comedy club, Bargatze piqued the interest of elite comedian and TV host.

A few months after that career-defining meeting, he was featured on Jimmy Fallon’s NBC late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which marked a significant career breakthrough in his fledgling career.

His debut comedy album, Yelled at by a Clown, which was released in September 2012, peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart and No. 2 on the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Chart.

She is, however, a resident of Huntsville, Alabama.

According to Bargtaze, they married in 2007 and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Harper Blair, on July 8, 2012.

In 2018, the family moved from California to Bargatze’s home state of Tennessee.

Nate grew up with a brother named Derek Bargatze. Ronnie Bargatze, his uncle, is a former Vanderbilt Commodores coach and radio commentator.
