He also worked as a session musician for artists and groups such as Mike Oldfield, The Muppets, Mike Jagger, Gary Moore, Paul McCartney, Sting, Don Henley, and Stevie Wonder, among others.

In addition, he was a producer for Garech de Brun, which he founded at Claddagh Records in 1959. He retired later in life and enjoyed spending time with his family.
