He has had an interest in athletics since he was a child. In high school, he was a standout football and basketball player.

His coach had already envisioned him as a world-class athlete. He was also exceptionally bright academically. He received a Division I football and basketball scholarship.

During high school, he was a running back, wide receiver, and defensive back. In college, he played basketball for the Furman Paladins before switching to football. In his sophomore season, he completed thirty passes for a total of one hundred yards versus Purdue.

During this period, he broke his leg and was unable to play the rest of the season, and he also underwent surgery. Quintez was allowed to playback again by the NCAA after some time in 2019,

and he demonstrated his stunts in his senior year. He was finally announced as the 2020 NFL draft in the year 2020. He was hired by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round with the 166th overall pick. Quintez and the Lions agreed to a four-year contract in July.
