He began attending McAllen High School at the age of 14 and received his first acting role in the school play “The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild.”

He then met Tanya Saracho, who would later become a staff writer for “Devious Maids, Girls,” and she was the one who inspired and encouraged him to pursue a career as a playwright and actor. He went on to Boston University College of Fine Arts after graduation, earning a bachelor’s degree in playwriting in 1999.

He made his Ensemble Studio Theater debut in the drama “School of the Americas” in 2006, followed by “Flowers” in 2008.

He starred in two plays in 2009, “A Lifetime Burning” and “References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot,” and he appeared in three plays in 2012, two of which were “Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train” and “The Way West.” In 2014, he made cameo roles in the plays “Adoration of the Old Woman” and “Death and the Maiden.”
