His website was placed 89th on a list of the top 100 websites that shaped the internet. In a 2017 interview with Vice, Richard revealed his inspiration for the website’s creation.

He stated that the website was a catchy name that he imagined would start with the word “awful.”

He went on to say that one of his pals asked him what he planned to post on the site, to which he answered that he didn’t know and that all he wanted to do was register it as a website.

According to multiple sources, he died as a result of lethal health issues that severely damaged his organ. However, there has been no further corroboration of this remark. It is still regarded as a rumor.
