On November 24, 1971, a man known as D.B. Cooper, boarded a Boeing 727 flight from Northwest Portland to Seattle.
He handed a note to Florence Schaffner, a flight attendant, shortly after takeoff.
In fact, she ignored the note and returned to her regular job.
Cooper then whispered in her ear, “Miss, you should look at that note.” “I’ve got a bomb.”
He also wanted $200,000, four parachutes (two primary and two reserves), and a fuel truck to refuel the plane.
