Kim Tae-hyung was born in Daegu’s Seo District and grew up in Geochang County.
The identities of his parents are unknown.
According to News Unzip, he comes from a middle-class farming family.
Tae-hyung is the oldest of his three siblings.
Kim Jong Gyu is his younger brother, while Kim Eun Jin is his sister.
From a young age, he wished to be a professional singer.
